Here are two of the lucky winners of the Easter hampers donated by Huddersfield Lions to local schools. Lindley junior school raised an amazing £703 from the raffle!

Huddersfield Lions today assisted the Ashbrow SHAPEUP project in Bradley Woods litter picking with other like minded groups and partner agencies.

Four bin liners of litter collected and one bin liner of aluminium cans for recycling to raise funds for the Guide Dogs.

The newest member of Huddersfield Lions, Ray Milne being welcomed by the President Hannah Lee and Pete from Keighley Lions.

Huddersfield Lions were proud to donate Christmas hampers to 16 local schools and 2 care homes to raffle in order to raise funds.

Our Christmas social at the Nags Head in Huddersfield was enjoyed by all including guests from Keighley Lions.

Our recent event offering free testing for prostate cancer was a great success. This was in the form of a blood test for men from 50 years old and 65 people came along on the day for the blood test.

Huddersfield Lions were very happy to host two exchange students earlier this month. Mia from Serbia and Flora from Hungary stayed for nine days in Huddersfield where they experienced a variety of sights, food and culture from this area.

Huddersfield Lions were delighted to host the 23rd Brass Band March & Hymn Tune competition in Brighouse this year. We had great support from Keithley Lions and several volunteers from Brighouse. It was a great atmosphere and everyone enjoyed the day despite the occasional shower. Elland Silver band was the winner in the youth section whilst Hepworth Band won several prizes including 1st prize overall.

Here are some pictures of the Easter celebrations in Birkby Junior School in Huddersfield. The Easter egg hamper donated by Huddersfield Lions Club raised a wonderful £161 which will be spent by the School Council pupils. Congratulations to the winner of the hamper!
