Bradley Woods Litterpick

Huddersfield Lions today joined the Ashbrow SHAPEUP project in Bradley Woods for a community litter pick, working alongside other like-minded groups and partner agencies. Volunteers spent several hours clearing, focusing on both visible litter and smaller items that can harm people & wildlife.

The team filled four bin liners with general litter, everything from food wrappers to discarded plastics. Helping to restore the natural beauty and safety of the woods for residents and visitors. Volunteers also collected a separate bin liner full of aluminium cans; these will be recycled and the proceeds donated to Guide dogs for the blind Association, supporting people with visual impairments.

Thanks to the combined efforts of local groups and agencies, Bradley Woods is cleaner and safer.

Huddersfield Lions are proud to have played a part and look forward to more environmental and community projects.
